Artifact 1: Summer Trainings

This summer I attended several trainings to help me be more successful in my teaching career.  I have included the certificates of completion for the trainings that I attended as my artifact.  This artifact provides evidence of Reflective (DM 5), because it shows how I have taken opportunities on my own time to learn and grow in the teaching profession by attending optional trainings.  These trainings have provided me with valuable information that will help me tremendously in my first year of teaching.  This artifact also demonstrates that I will continue to be an active learner who continually seeks opportunities to be a life-long learner in the field of education.

Artifact 2: Teacher Journal

I created a weekly Teacher Journal where I record my weekly thoughts about my first year of teaching and my internship.  This artifact provides evidence of Reflective (DM5), because it demonstrates how I reflect on my time spent at the school and use my reflections to evaluate my teaching. For example, in this artifact, I show how I reflect on each week and try to find ways to improve on what went right, and fix what is not going well.  These reflections will give me the opportunity to grow in my teaching career and will be valuable for me to go back and reflect on in years to come.  Through reflection, I can continue to learn from my experiences throughout my entire career.
